The short story: The Rams, led by senior JeVon Waller's gold medal-performance, collected seven podium finishes en route to a fourth-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships over the weekend.
 
SPRINTS/HURDLES
  • JeVon Waller set a personal best of 6.80 to win the 60-meter dash. His time moves him to third all-time at VCU. Sophomore Justin Wallace placed fifth (6.96) and senior Camron Browne (6.98) placed fifth and seventh, respectively, in the event as the Rams collected 16 points
  • Junior Noah Hackerson clocked a personal-best 48.49 in the 400 to grab silver, while sophomore Lewis Freeman (49.18) placed sixth. The pair combined for 11 points
  • Hackerson and Freeman returned to the track in the 200, placing sixth and seventh, respectively, and collecting five points
  • Sophomore Marcus Wilson and senior Emmanuel Waller finished sixth and seventh, respectively in the 60-meter hurdles final, respectively, good for five points
  • Junior Jared Knight ran 1:05.68 in the 500, placing fifth. Emmanuel Waller returned to the track to place eighth, as the duo combined for five points
 
MULTIS
  • Sophomore Trevor Thomas and senior Mykalee Atkins completed the final day of the heptathlon, with Thomas placing seventh with a personal best point total of 4543, and Atkins setting a personal best with 4452 points. Thomas improved his second overall ranking on VCU's all-time list, while Atkins moved to fourth all-time
 
JUMPS
  • Freshman David Coles concluded his stellar indoor collegiate debut season with a runner-up finish in the triple jump, recording a mark of 14.44m. Junior Mohamad Abdelrahman competed in his first meet of the season, placing fourth with a 14.09m leap. The pair combined for 13 points
  • Junior Christian DuBois cleared 1.99m in the high jump to place fifth, collecting four points
 
THROWS
  • Senior Glen Yancey led a trio of Rams to top-eight finishes in the shot put. Yancey collected silver (17.38m), senior Daniel Guiliani grabbed bronze (16.79m), and junior Justin Barnett placed eighth (14.97m), as the Rams' throwers added 15 points
