RICHMOND, VA. – VCU Women's Soccer freshman goalkeeper Ameerah Maamry was called up to the Moroccan U-20 Women's National Team to represent the nation in the 2026 Fifa World Cup Qualifiers African zone.
 
The Moroccan National Team continues its quest to advance to the third round of qualifiers. The team is set to take on Ivory Coast for a rematch on Sunday, Sept. 28 as they look to.
 
Maamry, who joined the Rams as a first-year goalkeeper this year from Louisville, Kentucky, has represented Morocco on the world stage before, competing with the Moroccan Women's National Team including during the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Colombia 2024 and the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup India 2022.
