WASHINGTON, D.C. – VCU women's soccer forward
Isabelle Franklin was named Atlantic 20 Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, the organization announced Monday.
Â
Last week, the freshman was named co-Rookie of the Week alongside Richmond's Julia Lishia, earning the Rams' first conference weekly honor of the season.
Â
Starting both of VCU's games and logging 121 minutes on the pitch, Franklin assisted on two of VCU's three goals on the week, including the game-winning goal against Navy.
Â
Franklin is tied with junior forward
Jensyn Lins for the team lead with four assists.
Â
The Rams took down Navy, 2-1, to start their week off with a home victory, and fell just short of the comeback against Old Dominion, 2-1, on Sunday.
Â
VCU is back in action on Sunday, Sept. 14, in Charlottesville, Va., to take on No. 13 Virginia for its second in-state ranked matchup.
