JeVon Waller and junior Jonathan Mitchell's performances highlighted a strong day at the South Florida Invitational for VCU, where several Rams stamped their names into the record books.

SPRINTS/HURDLES
- JeVon Waller turned in a personal best time of 10.47 in the 100-meter dash, winning his heat and taking fifth overall. His time currently ranks second in the Atlantic 10 and ties for third all-time at VCU. Senior Daiqwaun Faircloth and sophomore Justin Wallace clocked wind-aided times of 10.76 and 10.78, respectively
- Mitchell ran a personal-best 21.30 in the 200, while JeVon Waller continued his record-breaking day following in a personal-best 21.32. The duo's times rank second and third in the conference this season. Mitchell's performance moves him to sixth all-time at VCU in the event, and Waller's ranks eighthÂ
- Faircloth clocked a wind-aided 14.16 in the 110-meter hurdles, securing fifth place. Sophomore Marcus Wilson recorded a time of 14.39 (wind-aided)
- Sophomore Lewis Freeman placed eighth in the 400 with a time of 48.41
- Senior Emmanuel Waller cruised to an easy victory in the 400 hurdles with a time of 52.30, besting his closest opponent by nearly two seconds
- The Rams' 4x100 team of Faircloth, JeVon Waller, Mitchell, and Wallace ran 41.20 in the 4x100 relay to place fifth. The time ranks second in the Atlantic 10 this season
- Emmanuel Waller, Sebastian Evans, Freeman, and Mitchell won the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:13.88. The time, which takes nearly a second off the Rams' current A-10 lead in the event, ranks sixth all-time at VCU

JUMPS
- Freshman David Coles collected runner-up honors in the triple jump with a wind-aided mark of 14.57m. Junior Mohamad Abdelrahman (14.04m, wind-aided) placed fourth
- Sophomore Trevor Thomas placed seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.78m (wind-aided)
- Junior Christian DuBois cleared 1.87m in the high jump, placing fourth

THROWS
- Senior Jaekob Vollbrecht continued his strong outdoor campaign with a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw (55.34m) and runner-up finish in the discus (54.79m)
- Junior Justin Barnett finished third behind Vollbrecht in the discus, recording a personal-best launch of 48.81m. Barnett's mark ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 and sixth all-time at VCU
- Seniors Daniel Guiliani (16.79m) and Glen Yancey (16.60m) went 3-4 in the shot put. Senior Coby Cockrell placed eighth in the event with a 14.37m mark. Cockrell also placed sixth in the hammer throw (49.74m)
