THROWS
- Vollbrecht led wire-to-wire in the discus, but on his sixth and final throw, he unleashed a 57.48-meter heave to smash the meet mark of 56.80, set in 2016. UMass's Tevin Early was second at 50.77. Vollbrecht followed that performance with a career-best shot put toss of 17.84 meters to win gold going away. Davidson's Jack Stajos was second (16.97m). Vollbrecht, who claimed the hammer title Saturday, was named Most Outstanding Field Performer for his heroics
