After two first half goals, VCU and Davidson played to a 1-1 double overtime draw in North Carolina in the final week of Atlantic 10 play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Davidson capitalized early when it surged forward on the opening kickoff to take a 1-0 lead in the first 20 seconds of the match.Â
- Junior Karen Lohrmann (Clifton, Va.) unleashed the first VCU shot of the night, but it went just high.Â
- In the 14th minute, Haakma made an impressive soaring stop to keep the Rams within striking distance.Â
- The Rams had a great look in the box in the 23rd minute as Friedrichs nearly got a toe on the ball just in front of goal, but was unable to catch up with the ball.Â
- VCU continued its high press and finally found the equalizer in the 36th minute. After keeping a corner kick alive, Friedrichs got on the end of a loose ball in the box and put it in the back of the net to tie the game 1-1.Â
- The Rams came out of the gate blazing in the second frame, earning a corner kick on its opening attack of the half.Â
- Haakma continued to be a brick wall throughout the second half, making a massive save in the 64thminute to keep things tied.Â
- The Rams had another great chance in the 68th minute when sophomore Idelys Vazquez went one-on-one with the Davidson keeper who made the save.Â
- The match was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation, sending the side's headed to overtime.Â
- VCU had a few chances in the overtime periods, including a great look in the 108th minute when Friedrichs directed a header on frame, but it sailed into the hands of the Wildcats' keeper.Â
- After two scoreless overtime periods, each team walked away with a point from the match.

VCU's final regular season home match of the season is Sunday, Oct. 27 against Massachusetts. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. with a pregame ceremony to honor seniors scheduled for pregame.Â
