VCU was unable to come back from an early Liberty goal, falling behind by a goal in the third minute and battling the Conference USA favorite to a 1-0 final.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Liberty scored the game's lone goal in the opening minutes, forcing a turnover at center field and making driving to the net to take a 1-0 lead
• In the 21^st minute, VCU made its first attempt on the goal off the boot of McEnhimer, but wasn't able to match the Lady Flames' goal
• In the second half, Cameryn Nunn made three saves to keep the Rams' one-goal deficit, but VCU was unable to even the score
• The Rams fell 1-0 on Sunday
