Richmond, Va. - VCU Men's tennis has been ranked No. 2 in the ITA Atlantic Region Team Rankings, the organization announced Wednesday. Senior Charles Bertimon and partner Maxence Bertimon were named No. 1 in the doubles rankings while four Rams earned a position in the singles Top 20.
 
This selection comes after VCU tallied a 22-7 overall record including a perfect 9-0 mark at home. The Rams capped their impressive season by claiming a fifth consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
 
The pairing of brothers Charles and Maxence claims the No. 1 position in the doubles ranking after becoming the first pairing in program history to reach an NCAA Doubles Championship semifinals. The Champagne Sur Seine, France natives completed the season with a 23-10 overall record and earned ITA All-American honors.
 
Graduate student Inigo Torre Martin, and senior Rayane Stable join both Bertimon brothers in the ITA Atlantic Region Singles Top 20.
 
Charles earns the No. 6 position, after completing the season with a 17-14 record and earning a berth into the NCAA Singles Championship. Maxence finishes No. 13 in the singles poll after a campaign which saw the junior earn a 11-8 mark from the No. 2 position and a spot on the Atlantic 10 First Team.
 
Torre Martin comes in at No. 17 in the rankings after being awarded ITA Atlantic Region Most Improved Senior and Senior of the Year honors. Stable closes out the rankings for the Rams at the No. 20. The Mouans Sartoux, France native ended the year with a 30-15 overall singles record and earned his third consecutive Atlantic 10 First Team honors.
