RICHMOND- The Atlantic 10 Conference announced their weekly track & field awards Wednesday with two Rams winning weekly feats. Philip Daniel was named Men's Field Performer of the Week while Presten Augustin was named Men's Rookie of the Week. Both athletes have won awards in each of the last two weeks and Augustin has now won Rookie of the Week for the third consecutive week.
Daniel has now won his second A-10 weekly award of the season in addition to being named to the All-Academic team at the conclusion of the indoor season. The senior set a program record with a 15.92m triple jump, good for 19th best in Division I and best in the A-10. This is his fourth time setting a triple jump program record during the 2026 season.Â
Daniel and junior Isaiah-Taji Kargbo-Owens both had a strong weekend in the pit as Kargbo-Owens also set an unaided program record at 15.78m in the event while Daniel holds the all-conditions program record. The two currently share the title as program record holders in the event.Â
Augustin won A-10 Rookie of the Week for a third consecutive week and fourth time in 2026. He was victorious in the 400m hurdles at the Virginia Challenge with a personal-best 51.63s time. The time is best in the A-10 in 2026 and third best mark in program history.Â
During the 2026 season, the Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. native has set top-10 program marks in both the 400 and 60m hurdles and was a bronze medalist in the 60h at the A-10 Indoor Championships. He was also a member of the gold medal 4x400m team.Â
After a weekend without events, the Rams return to action on Saturday, May 3rd for the A-10 Outdoor Championships, hosted by George Mason. Both Daniel and Augustin look to add to their medal collection in the two-day event.Â
