Braden O'Grady booked a top-10 finish and freshman
Carson Looney continued his torrid spring to lead VCU to a third-place effort this week at the Seahawk Intercollegiate.
FIRST TEE
- O'Grady (73-72-69) fired a final-round 69 to vault into a share of seventh place at 2-under. It's his second top-10 finish of the season and first of the spring campaign
- Looney (68-71-76) opened with a first-round 68 on Monday and finished 1-under across 54 holes on the way to 10th. It's his third top-10 result in four tournaments
- VCU placed third at 2-under overall. Host UNC Wilmington (-18) coasted to a nine-stroke win over 26th-ranked Duke (-9). Jacksonville (+1) and Stetson (+4) rounded out the top five
- Graduate student Mason Minkle (+2) placed 22nd for the Black and Gold, while senior Jake Conklin (+3) earned a share of 26th
