FIRST TEE
  • On Wednesday, Looney birdied three of his last five holes, including the 411-yard, Par 4 18th, to force a playoff. Although he fell in in the first hole of a sudden death playoff for medalist honors, Looney still secured his second first place finish in his past three tournaments. Looney captured the Monterrey Collegiate Classic in Mexico to close out VCU's fall season
  • Looney finished 6-under (72-69-69) overall
  • VCU shot 1-under in Wednesday's final round to move up three spots for a fifth-place finish. The Rams were 6-over (289-294-287) overall at the 54-hole event. Richmond (-6) squeezed out the team title, followed by George Mason (-3), James Madison (-2) and George Washington (-2)
  • Sophomore Tanner Cadieux, who captured medalist honors at the Rams' spring opener, the Bentwater Intercollegiate, shot 69-76-69 to earn a share of 12th place this week
  • Louisville graduate transfer Jackson Brimfield also placed 32nd for the Black and Gold
