The Short Story: Freshman Presten Augustin set a new program record in the 60m hurdles as the Rams competed in a two-day event at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational

Sprints/Hurdles

• Augustin finished 2nd in the 60h with a 7.92s time in the finals. He becomes the second Ram to set a program record in the event this season
• Sophomore Marcus Acheampong qualified for the finals in the 60h with a 7.96s time
• Jude Okafor competed in the 200m and 400m invite with a 21.95s and 48.37s time, respectively

Distance

• Redshirt sophomore Thomas Hess set a PR in the 800m invite at 1:51.84, finishing 8th of 28 competitors
• Hess also set a PR in the 1000m run at 2:28.79, finishing 6th
• Freshman Jonathan Hess competed in the mile invite with a 4:18.69 finish

Jumps

• Freshman Destiny Ese set a new personal-record in the long jump at 7.48m, good for 66th best in Division I and placing 2nd in the event

Throws

• Senior Troy McWilliams was victorious in the weight throw at 19.93m
• Junior Devon Brooks competed in the weight throw with a 16.75m throw
