The short story:Â Jeremiah Johnson's first-place finish in the high jump headlines the Rams' performance in Harrisonburg as the Black and Gold sent athletes to JMU and USF this weekend to compete.Â

JUMPS
- In the high jump, Johnson used a top jump of 1.95 meters to earn first in the event. Nathaniel Mitchel recorded a height of 1.90 meters to earn fourth in the event as wellÂ
THROWS
- Shinobu Hawk set a new personal best in the discus throw with a mark of 48.04 meters to finish second. Hawk's previous personal best was 45.25 meters
- Devon Brooks also recorded a new personal best in the discus, throwing a distance of 45.32 meters en route to a fifth-place finish
HURDLES
- Isaiah Brightman continued his impressive season, setting a new personal best in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.16 seconds to notch a fourth-place finish
DISTANCE
- Carter Smith set a new personal best time of 4:00.85 in the 1500-meter race en route to a ninth-place finish
Next up
The Rams will next head to Charlottesville, Va. for an in-state meet at the Virginia Challenge, taking place Friday and Saturday, April 18–19.
