Zach Felts shot a second-round 66 and sparked VCU to its best finish of the falls season this week at the Moraine Intercollegiate.

FIRST TEE
- Felts, a transfer from Utah Tech, overcame a first-round 75 to fire back-to-back round of 66 and 69 on the way to a 19th-place finish at 3-under
- VCU combined to shoot a 2-under 282 in Tuesday's final round, the second-lowest in the field, to vault four spots up the leaderboard to fifth. The Rams were 10-under overall. Xavier (-20) captured the team title, followed by Illinois (-17), Missouri (-16) and Rhode Island (-11)
- Freshman Carson Looney (69-70-72) opened with a 2-under 69 and earned a share of 21st
- Sophomore Tanner Cadieux (69-76-71) claimed 40th for the Rams, while senior Jake Conklin and freshman Rami Samawi placed 46th and 49th, respectively, for VCUÂ

- Cadieux and Looney led the way for the Black and Gold with 12 birdies each
- Conklin averaged 2.83 strokes in Par 3 opportunities in the tournament, a mark that tied for third-best in the field. Looney, meanwhile, tied for third in the tournament in Par 5 scoring (4.44)
