The short story: Senior Caden Scarbrough carded a second-round 72 and placed 32^nd to lead VCU at this week's Badger Invitational.
 
FIRST TEE

• Scarbrough, a transfer from Cedarville, shot 74-72-75 across the three-day event to pace the VCU attack
• VCU placed 12^th overall with a three-day score of 902 (+38). Northern Illinois (-9) claimed the team crown, while Long Beach State (-6), host Wisconsin (-6), Illinois State (+6), Memphis (+6) and Washington State (+6) rounded out the top six  
• Junior Braden O'Grady, the Rams' top finisher in the team's two previous fall tournaments, placed 40^th after carding 75-73-76
• Additionally for VCU, junior Mac McGurn was 59^th and senior Charlie Kennedy was 71st
