The short story: Freshman Grayson Wood shot a final-round 68 to cap his collegiate debut and lead the Rams to one of the lowest 54-hole totals in school history this week at the VCU Shootout.
 
FIRST TEE

• VCU tied for fourth overall at 23-under. The Rams' total score of 841 (286-271-284), is the fourth-lowest 54-hole mark, both total score and relative to par, in program history. The Rams shot a 17-under 271 in Monday's second round, which tied the second-lowest in school history
• Wood overcame a first-round 74 to fire back-to-back 68s. He carded five birdies during Tuesday's final round to vault 15 spots up the leaderboard and earn his first career top-15 finish
• Sophomore Ugo Malcor (72-68-72) and senior Mattias Varjun (71-67-74) tied for 23^rd at 4-under for the Black and Gold, while sophomore Clemente Silva (72-68-73) was 28^th at 3-under
• Junior Jayce Hargrove, playing as an individual, placed 33^rd at 2-under for VCU
