Meet: IC4A/ECAC Championships

The Short Story:  Six Ram men donned the Black and Gold in five different events at the IC4A/ECAC Championships held at George Mason.  

SPRINTS

• Kacey Pratt ran in the 400-meter dash, completing the lap in a time of 48.21.

DISTANCE

• Nahim Abdallah ran a personal best in the 5000m, clocking in at a hand-timed 14:30.

JUMPS

• Lamar Davis finished fifth overall in the long jump with a mark of 7.17m (23'-6.25"). His teammate Trevor Thomas came home seventh, landing in the sand pit at 7.02m (23'-0.5").
• Philip Daniel placed eighth overall in the triple jump with a best jump of 13.92m (45'-8").

THROWS

• Coby Cockrell competed in the shot put, with his best throw of the day landing at 14.24m (46'-8.75").

The VCU track & field team will send a small group of qualifying athletes to the NCAA East Preliminary Meet, taking place May 24-27 in Jacksonville, Fla.
