The Short Story: VCU received noteworthy performances from both sprinters and distance runners at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational, hosted by George Mason.
SPRINTS
- Senior Noah Hackerson took home runner-up honors in the 400-meter dash, completing the one-lap event in 48.50, just .01 of the second off of his personal record in the event.
- Freshman Aubrey Bryant finished 12th in the 100m in a time of 10.97
HURDLES
- Sophomore Paul Adelugba ran a personal record of 56.60 in the 400-meter hurdles
JUMPS
- Senior Christian Dubois cleared a height of 1.88m (6'-2") in the high jump, placing fifth overall
DISTANCE
- The duo of sophomore Kendall Phillips and senior Noah Peterson teamed up to finish third and fourth, respectively, in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Phillip's time of 9:24.01 ranks him third in the Atlantic 10 and fifth in VCU history. At a time of 9:24.34, Peterson is right behind his teammate at fourth in the Atlantic 10 and sixth in VCU history
UP NEXT
The VCU track & field team will once again split up between two meets next weekend. A select group of Ram athletes will travel to the Tom Jones Memorial in Gainesville, Fla., on Friday-Saturday, April 14-15, while others will stay in-state for the JMU invitational in Harrisonburg, Va., on Saturday, April 15.
