The Short Story:Â The Black and Gold sent a handful of athletes to Williamsburg to compete against Bowie State and the host school William & Mary, winning multiple events and setting several PRs.
SPRINTS
- Senior Noah Hackerson won the 400-meter dash, completing the lap in 49.72 seconds, over a second faster than his closest competition
- Freshman Aubrey Bryant finished second in the 100m with a college PR of 10.94
DISTANCE
- Sophomore Jaden Luczak placed second in the 800m, breaking the tape in a time of 1:58.62
- Sophomore Kendall Phillips and senior Noah Peterson placed second and third respectively in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Phillips went the distance in 9:28.47 while Peterson was right behind him in 9:29.86, personal best times for both runners

JUMPS
- Senior Mohamad Abdelrahman won the triple jump with a best jump of 14.36m (47'-1.5"). Senior DeJon Mayo came in second place, with his best jump of the day measuring 14.14m (46'-4.75")

VCU track & field will return to Williamsburg next Thursday-Saturday, March 30-April 1 for the annual Colonial Relays at William & Mary. The Rams will also enter athletes at the Vertklass Meeting in High Point, N.C., taking place on Friday-Saturday, March 31-April 1.
