RICHMOND, Va. – It may be a different name, but for the third straight week, the result is the same. VCU freshman Veikka Viskari (Vierumäki, Finland) was named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Rookie of the Week Saturday, the league announced.
 
A native of Finland, Viskari is the second Ram to garner the honor this fall, joining Grayson Wood (Fredericksburg, Va.), who has collected the award twice.
 
Viskari shot 1-under (69-70-73) Oct. 9-10 at the Purdue Fall Invitational at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course on the way to a share of 10^th place, his first top-10 finish in a VCU polo. His effort helped lift the Black and Gold to a third-place result amid a loaded field.
 
VCU and Viskari will return to the links Oct. 29-31 when they wrap up their fall schedule at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate in Charleston, S.C.
