Veikka Viskari each scored a top-10 finish to lead VCU to third at a loaded Purdue Fall Invitational this week.

FIRST TEE
- Varjun shot a second-round 67 and finished 4-under (72-67-70) for the 54-hole event on the way to a sixth-place finish
- Viskari opened with a 69 in Monday's first round and shot 1-under for the tournament on the way to a share of 10th place overall in the field
- VCU, on the strength of a 6-under second round, shot 1-over (853) for the week and tied with for third with ninth-ranked Illinois. The Illini advanced to the NCAA Championship quarterfinals a year ago. Host and 40th-ranked Purdue (-10) claimed the team title, followed by Illinois State (-9). Nebraska (+3) rounded out the top five. UNLV, ranked 54th nationally by Golfweek, was seventh (+6)
- Sophomore Ugo Malcor (+2) placed 21st for the Rams, while freshman Grayson Wood (+6), the two-time defending Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week, tied for 39thÂ
