Mikkel Antonsen closed with a final-round 70 Tuesday to complete his climb to seventh place at the Old Corkscrew Intercollegiate, where he led VCU to a fifth-place showing.

FIRST TEE
- Antonsen closed with a bogey-free back nine Tuesday. He fired five birdies on the day on the way to his best finish as a Ram
- The Rams, who were 10th after Monday's first round, steadily climbed the leaderboard and shot a combined 3-under Tuesday to move into fifth. Florida Gulf Coast (-24) cruised to the team trophy. Jacksonville (E), Jacksonville State (+12) and High Point (+19) followed
- VCU senior Peter Gasperini managed to shoot a consistent 75-72-74 on the way to a 14th place, while freshman Joe Retford (70-77-76) placed 20th
- Senior Kristian Tannum Donaldson overcame a tough first day to shoot a blistering, 4-under 68 Tuesday. He carded six birdies on Tuesday. He placed 42nd overall
