Newport News, Va. – VCU's redshirt-sophomore forward
Ethan Manheim earned his first ever Atlantic 10 honor as the league announced he had been named Player of the Week on Monday.Â
Â
After conceding to George Washington early, it was Manheim's header that found the top corner of the goal and put the Rams back on level terms. VCU would go on to win the game in the opening minute of overtime.Â
Â
In the season finale, the Rams had battled George Mason for 82 scoreless minutes. After impressive build-up play from the team, Manheim tapped the ball into the back of the net with a sliding effort and scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal.Â
Â
Manheim finished the season with five total points on the year. Â
