RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Men's and Women's Track and Field programs have announced their schedule for the 2022 indoor season, highlighted by the return of the Atlantic 10 Championships in Fairfax, Va.

The Rams open the indoor season on Jan. 8 at the Father Diamond Invitational hosted by George Mason in Fairfax, Va. Following the opener, VCU travels to Lexington, Va. on Jan. 15 to compete in the VMI Team Challenge before returning to Fairfax for the George Mason Patriot Games that take place Jan. 21-22.

VCU travels to Lynchburg, Va. from Jan. 20-22 to compete in the Brant Tolsma Invitational at Liberty and will round out the January slate in Columbia, S.C. at the South Carolina Invitational Jan. 28-29.

VCU's schedule features a two-meet weekend the first week of February with the Rams traveling to Blacksburg, Va. for the Virginia Tech Doc Hale Elite Meet Feb. 4-5, as well as the Virginia Wesleyan Richard Drake Invitational in Virginia Beach, Va. on Feb. 6.Â

The Black and Gold returns to Virginia Beach the following weekend for the Norfolk State Kenneth Giles Invitational Feb. 11-12.Â

George Mason hosts this year's Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships Feb. 26-27 in Fairfax, Va. and the NCAA Indoor Championships are slated for March 11-12 in Birmingham, Ala. The A-10 did not host the indoor championships last year.Â

VCU Women's Track and Field captured its seventh Atlantic 10 Championship at the 2021 outdoor championships.  The Rams return seven individual champions between the men and women from the 2021 A-10 Outdoor Championships. VCU Head Coach
