The Short Story: Junior thrower Will Schwartz had another strong showing this weekend after placing fourth in the weight throw at the Virginia Tech Invitational at Rector Field House 

The Starting Line 

• In the shot put, sophomore thrower Jaekob Vollbrecht finished in sixth place and posted a personal best of 17.73m 
• Junior Xyan Xrichardson secured a sixth-place finish in the high jump, while freshman teammate Christian DuBois set a personal record in the event
• In the 400 meters, Senior Ian Davis secured an eighth-place finish and a personal record 
• Noah Hackerson, a freshman sprinter out of Bristow, Va., secured a personal record in the 300-meters
• Numerous other PRs occurred for the Rams, including Mohamad Abdelrahman in the triple jump, Gordon Smith and Mykalee Atkins in the long jump, and freshman Jared Knight in the 500-meter run.

What's Next

The Rams will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 25 when they travel to Lexington, Va. for the VMI Team Challenge.
