The Short Story: VCU overcame a 14-9 deficit to UMass that ended when Molly Barcikowski scored the game-winning goal in overtime. The Rams' win snapped the Minutewomen's 61-game Atlantic 10 winning streak and secured VCU's first trip to the Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Championship.

 HOW IT HAPPENED

• VCU started quickly and raced to a 3-0 lead just under four minutes into the contest.
• The Minutewomen scored four unanswered goals to take a 4-3 lead with 20:21 left in the first half.
• The Rams responded by reeling off three straight goals to retake the lead at 6-4 with 11:41 left before halftime.
• UMass outscored VCU 6-2 to close the first half and led 10-8 at the half.
• The Minutewomen then scored four of the first five goals of the second half to buil a 14-9 lead with 21:16 left in regulation.
• The Rams then scored six of the next seven goals with Clare Murphy's goal with 21 seconds left in regulation giving VCU a 16-15 lead.
• The Minutewomen were able to win the ensuing draw and sent the game to overtime on a goal from Holly Turner with one second remaining.
• Barcikowski scored the game-winning goal just over three minutes into the overtime period on a free position.=
