SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – Two VCU women's soccer attackers will compete on the international stage in the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games (JCC), in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
 
Senior Jazmin Jackson was called up to the Dominican Republic Senior National Team and freshman Jayla Walton was called up to the Puerto Rico Senior National Team
 
Jackson, a returner to the Dominican team, most recently appeared in the CONCACAF Women's Championship qualifications, scoring a game-winning in her four appearances. She has also represented the Dominican Republic in the U-20 and U-17 youth levels, competing in the 2023 CONCACAF U-20 Championship and FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Qualifiers.
 
Walton earned her first call to the Senior National Team for the 2026 JCC. She has represented Puerto Rico with the U-17 and U-20 Women's National Teams, including in the CONCACAF U-20 Women's Championship.
 
In the group stage, the Dominican Republic will compete with El Salvador, Costa Rica and Venezuela in Group A. Puerto Rico will compete in Group B with Mexico, Jamaica and Colombia. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinal on Tuesday, August 4, and the final and bronze medal matches will take place on Thursday, August 6.
