RICHMOND, Va. - VCU Men's Tennis saw five student-athletes receive Atlantic 10 Conference honors, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Mats Bredschneijder earned All-Atlantic 10 First Team honors, while
Gevorg Mnatsakanyan and
Nicolo Consonni were named to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team. Bouchet also earned a spot on the All-Academic Team.
Alfred Almasi earned his second consecutive appearance on the All-Atlantic 10 First Team, adding to a collegiate resume that includes Preseason All-Conference recognition, an Atlantic 10 All-Academic selection, ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, and Academic All-WAC honors during his time at Grand Canyon. After returning from injury midway through the season, Almasi finished 6-5 in singles play and 5-4 in doubles competition. He went undefeated (3-0) during the Atlantic 10 Championship, including two straight-set singles victories. The senior adds one final honor to cap off a stellar collegiate career.
Erwann Bouchet made his first appearance on the All-Atlantic 10 First Team after earning second-team honors during the 2024-25 season. Bouchet was also named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team and earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors earlier this season. Bouchet primarily competed on Courts 1 and 2 throughout the season, posting a 9-7 record in both singles and doubles play. He closed the season strong by winning seven of his final 10 singles matches, highlighted by the match-sealing victory against No. 56 Wichita State in Kansas.
Mats Bredschneijder earned All-Atlantic 10 First Team honors in his first season in the black & gold. The sophomore adds the recognition to a list of accolades that includes Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, SEC Freshman of the Week and Preseason All-Conference honors. Bredschneijder finished the season with a 5-6 singles record and a 9-6 mark in doubles while primarily competing on Court 1. He also delivered a strong performance during the Atlantic 10 Championship, going unbeaten in singles with two straight-set victories while adding a doubles win for the Rams.
Nicolo Consonni earned Atlantic 10 Second Team honors for the second consecutive season after serving as a key contributor near the top of the Rams' lineup throughout the year. Consonni closed the season by winning four of his final five singles matches while also going 1-0 in doubles play during the Atlantic 10 Championship. He also posted a 2-1 record in conference singles competition, highlighted by a 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 comeback victory over Richmond's Davis Wiley on Court 1.
Gevorg Mnatsakanyan earned Atlantic 10 Second Team honors for the second consecutive season after another strong year near the top of the lineup for the Rams. The sophomore primarily competed on Courts 1 and 3 in singles play, finishing the season 10-8 in singles and 10-7 in doubles competition. Mnatsakanyan also delivered multiple match-clinching victories this season against DePaul and Saint Joseph's and earned a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Cornell's Filipe Pinzon, who was ranked as high as No. 113 nationally this spring.
