RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Men's Tennis continued its longstanding tradition of academic excellence in 2025-26. On Monday, the Rams were named an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the 11^th consecutive year, while three student-athletes earned individual academic honors from the organization.
 
The Rams, under second-year Head Coach Dimi Kutrovsky, earned ITA distinction by maintaining a combined team grade-point-average of better than 3.2. The Black and Gold have earned the citation each year since 2016.
 
Additionally, senior Alfred Almasi (Trstice, Slovakia), sophomores Erwann Bouchet (Lyon, France) and Kostiantyn Mantach (Kyiv, Ukraine) and freshman Patrik Petera (Prague, Czech Republic) the earned ITA's Scholar Athlete award, which is presented to student-athletes who maintain a 3.5 GPA or better. Almasi, Mantach and Bouchet were also named Scholar Athletes last year.
