RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Field Hockey goalkeeper Emma Clements was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Clements, a redshirt sophomore, posted a shutout in the Rams' 3-0 win over William & Mary. Clements made two saves as the Rams defeated the Tribe.
 
The Defensive Player of the Week marks the first weekly honor for Clements. VCU hosts No. 20 Wake Forest on Friday, Sept. 12 at 3 p.m. at Cary Street Field.
