Hakim Musabbah was tabbed Atlantic 10 Rookie of the week, the league announced Tuesday.

The freshman earns his first career conference weekly honor in just the second week of play, the first of its kid for the Rams this season.

Musabbah scored his first career goal in Friday night's win, following through on a goalkeeper save by ODU to find the back of the net. He logged a career-high 60 minutes on the pitch in VCU's first victory of the season, also tallying three shots.

The Kampala, Uganda, native from the AMUS College School has made a strong debut for VCU, and is tied for the team lead with two points and second among the Rams with four shots.

Musabbah and VCU return to action tonight at Sports Backers Stadium to take on the Campbell Fighting Camels at 7 p.m. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
