The short story: Sophomore
Isaiah Brightman had a standout performance in his first outdoor meet of the 2025 season, setting new personal bests in both the 110-meter and 400-meter hurdles to lead the Rams.
HURDLES
- Brightman shined in the 110 hurdles, crushing his previous personal best of 16.51 seconds with a time of 15.26 seconds, earning second place in the event
- In the 400 hurdles, Brightman also set a new personal best, clocking in at 56.80 seconds to finish fourth, improving on his previous mark of 57.94 seconds.
- Brightman showcased his impressive talent en route to two personal records on the day
JUMPS
- Jeremiah Johnson cleared 1.95 meters in the high jump, securing fourth place for the Black and Gold
- Nathaniel Mitchell finished closely behind, placing sixth with a solid jump to support the team's performance
DISTANCE
- In the 1500-meter race, Carter Smith and Julian Lawson finished back-to-back in 27th and 28th place. Smith posted a time of 4:02.15, while Lawson followed with 4:02.76
Next up
The Rams will head to NC State next week to compete in the Raleigh Relays, scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, March 27-29.
