Grayson Wood each carded a final-round 68 as VCU shot 11-under Wednesday and marched to a dramatic, two-stroke victory at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate – the Rams' second win this month.

FIRST TEE
- VCU finished 20-under for the 54-hold event and topped 38th-ranked South Florida (-18) by two strokes. Wood birdied his final two holes, and classmate Veikka Viskari birdied 18 to close his round to lift the Rams to victory. Long Beach State and Arkansas State (-17) were also in contention late
- Â Viskari placed third overall after shooting 7-under (72-68-69) over the three-day tournament. He registered five birdies in Wednesday final round
- Wood tied for 12th at 4-under (73-71-68). He bogeyed just once Wednesday
- Sophomore Ugo Malcor (72-71-72) and Varjun (71-77-68) placed 34th and 41st, respectively, for VCU

- VCU's triumph comes on the heels of the Rams first-place finish at The Vaquero in Cancun earlier this month. The Rams have finished no worse than fourth in seven tournaments this year
- The Rams have now won a pair of tournaments in the same season for the first time since the 2013-14 campaign, when they captured three team titles, including the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship
- The Lake Las Vegas field included seven top-100 teams, including three inside the top 50Â
