The Short Story:Â Â Freshman
Emmanuel Oche had a strong performance in the 60m, breaking the VCU Men's 60m record twice. Oche ran a 6.74 in the prelims and a 6.68 in the finals, taking home second place. Junior
John Casper led for the Rams in two events, the weight throw (2/19.17m) and the shot put (6/16.48m).
SPRINTS
- Freshman Jordan Davis (6.99), Sophomore Aubrey Bryant (7.01) and Senior Darius Reed (7.02) finished 11,12 and 13 for the VCU in the men's 60m prelims.
- In the 60m hurdle prelims, junior Marcus Wilson qualified for finals running 8.23, for seventh place.
- Sophomore Winston Broiles (19/8.69) and Senior Christopher White (24/10.12) also ran in the 60m hurdle prelims.
- Wilson finished seventh in the 60m hurdles final, crossing the line in 8.13.
- Freshman Chanan Mathis was the first Ram to finish in the men's 300m finishing in 35.00.
- Senior Lewis Freeman (35.93) and sophomore Winston Broiles (37.52) finished 14 and 20 in the 300m.
- Oche placed second in the men's 200m race, finishing in 22.07.
- Davis also ran in the 200m (22.22) finishing in fourth.
- Reed finished 12 (23.12) and Bryant finished 13 (23.18) in the 200m.
DISTANCE
- In the men's 500m race, junior Paul Adelugba
- Freshman Carter Smith finished 11 in the men's one-mile race (4:26.98) and fellow freshman Jacob Barrow finished 13 (4:31.15).
- Senior Kyle Weldon was VCU's lone runner in the 3000m finishing 19 (9:04.17) for the Rams.
- Junior Kendall Phillips finished 14 in the men's 1000m (2:31.24) and Freshman Thomas Hess (2:41.39) finished 21.

JUMPS
- Senior Trevor Thomas jumped 6.62m in the men's long jump finishing 12.
- In the Men's high jump freshman Jaiden Oglesby jumped 1.96m placing 13 in the event.
- The Rams had a strong showing in the men's triple-jump event, with three jumpers in the top five.
- Junior, David Coles led the way finishing second and setting a new personal record (15.36m). Sophomore Phillip Daniel finished fourth with a 14.58m jump and freshman Isaiah-Taji Kargbo-Owens finished fifth, jumping 14.53m.
