NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – VCU Lacrosse's Juliana George and Kelsey McDonnell were both named to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team as announced by the league office Wednesday. McDonnell was also named to the All-Academic Team.
 
George, a senior attacker, scored a team-high 47 goals along with 15 assists while McDonnel, a junior midfielder, scored 43 goals with five assists. It marks the most selections to the All-Atlantic 10 Team by the program since 2019. George was tied for third in the league in goals scored while McDonnell ranked eighth.
 
George capped off her senior season scoring a career-high six goals and one assist in VCU's 17-12 win over Saint Joseph's. George scored a hat trick in nine of VCU's 17 games overall this season while the 47 goals was also a career-high.
 
McDonnell's 43 goals also marked a career-high and scored at least a hat trick in eight games this season. She scored a season-high five goals in VCU's win over ODU on Feb. 15. McDonnell also made the All-Academic Team holding a 3.96 GPA while majoring in Health, Physical Education & Exercise Science. McDonnell has earned Dean's List honors as well as being Athletic Director Honor Roll on multiple occasions.
 
The Rams, in their eighth year of the program, set a program record for wins in a season with eight.
