Ugo Malcor picked up where he left off in the fall and logged a top-15 finish to lead the Rams to sixth among a packed field at the Hal Williams Collegiate.

FIRST TEE
- Malcor proved steady throughout the 54-hole event, carding 71-68-71 on the way to his fourth top-15 finish in six collegiate tournament this season. He closed Tuesday's final round by shooting 34 on the back nine. He also eagled No. 6, a 528-yard, par 5 layout
- VCU placed sixth at 3-under (284-277-290=849) amid a field that included fifth-ranked Illinois, No. 21 Kansas State and No. 49 Southern Miss. Illinois (-36) coasted to the team title, followed by Arkansas (-23), KSU (-13), Southern Miss (-8) and Oral Roberts (-5)
- Junior Jayce Hargrove shot a second-round 67 on Monday and finished 2-under (70-67-74=211) for the week on the way to a share of 19th place
- Junior Mattias Varjun (+1) and senior George Saunders (+2) placed 31st and 34th for the Rams, respectively
