RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Women's Tennis Graduate Student
Paola Exposito Diaz-Delgado will compete in the NCAA Singles Championships Monday at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex in Champaign, Illinois.

Exposito Diaz-Delgado will face No. 15 Shiori Fukuda a Graduate Student from Pepperdine in a first-round matchup at 3:00 p.m EST. Fukuda tallied a 30-11 singles record this season, including a 12-6 mark from the No. 1 position.

This marks the third tournament appearance for Exposito Diaz-Delgado. The Graduate Student totaled a 23-9 singles record in 2021-22 and enters the tournament following dominant performances in the A-10 Championship Tournament.

As a sophomore in 2019, Exposito Diaz-Delgado reached the Round of 16. Following the season, she was named an ITA All-American.

Over the course of her storied career, the Almeria, Spain native has collected numerous accolades both from an individual and team perspective. In addition to her All-American honors, she has guided VCU to four Atlantic 10 Championships and has reached second all-time in program history with over 111 singles wins.
