The Short Story: VCU Women's Tennis claimed the doubles point but dropped four completed singles matches as Old Dominion secured a 4-1 victory.
 
Doubles

• The Rams came out strong to open the match, taking the doubles point with wins on courts two and three.
• Sara Alba and Viktoria Lackova set the tone early with a sharp 6-2 victory on court three, giving VCU the initial edge in doubles play. However Old Dominion quickly responded on court one, where Tania Isabel Andrade Sabando and Mariam Ibrahim fell 6-3, leveling the doubles point at one match apiece. 
• Finally on court two, in a match that came down to the wire, Andrea Magallanes and Sofia Jane Thorne secured the doubles point for the Rams. The two sides traded games throughout the set, with neither pair able to create separation, before the VCU duo edged ahead 7-6(3) in the tiebreak to close it out.

Singles

• Andrea Magallanes and Mariam Ibrahim both got off to strong starts, each taking their first set before their matches were ultimately left unfinished.
