Richmond, Va. - VCU Men's tennis has been ranked no. 36 in the Division I Men's Team Rankings the ITA announced Wednesday.

This selection comes after a superb stretch that has seen the Rams rattle off seven straight victories since February 26th. Four of these victories came against ranked opponents including three straight against USF (no.54), Cornell (no.50) and Charlotte (no.45) from Friday March 25 through Friday, April 1.

During this stretch Sophomore
Matisse Bobichon has recorded a perfect 7-0 singles record, while only dropping two sets. Grad Student Inigo Torre Martin has also been in good form holding an unblemished 8-0 record across doubles and singles including four straight two-set wins.

Doubles has also been a point of strength for the Rams during this run, with the team holding a strong 12-4 overall record across all three courts. The pairing of Charles and
Maxence Bertimon held a 3-2 record from court no. 1 and have jumped to no. 30 in the most recent ITA National Doubles Rankings. During this span the pairing notched an impressive win over Cornell's Alafia Ayeni and Vladislav Melnic who are currently ranked no. 20 by the ITA.

VCU will look to keep their momentum as they travel to face Elon on Friday, April 8. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m.
