RAMS KEEP CLIMBING ITA RANKINGS

Richmond, Va. - VCU Men's tennis has been ranked no. 27 in the Division I Men's Team Rankings the ITA announced Wednesday.
 
This ranking, which is a season high and a two-position improvement for the Rams, comes after a week in which VCU defeated two opponents also sitting within the ITA National Rankings. The Rams defeated no. 64 Old Dominion in a commanding 4-1 win and finished their regular season strong earning a 4-0 victory over ETSU. VCU finished the season on an 11 match win streak which dates back to February 26th.
 
VCU Men's Tennis also had two players chosen in the ITA National Rankings, the organization announced Wednesday. Senior Charles Bertimon was selected as No. 104 in the ITA National Singles Rankings while Charles and Junior Maxence Bertimon remained ranked no. 30 in the ITA National Doubles poll.
 
Charles jumps five spots after his initial ranking, having not lost a match since April 1. During this stretch Charles has tallied two convincing singles victories in matchups with no.69 Liberty and Elon University.
 
Charles and Maxence remain steady at the no. 30 spot in the ITA Rankings after earning four doubles victories in their last five matches. This included a strong 6-1 win over ETSU's Frazier Rengifo and Juan Sebastian Zabala from court no. 1.
 
The Rams will return to action for the A-10 Conference Tournament which begins April 28 in Orlando, Fla.
