Jaekob Vollbrecht broke his own school record in the discus throw to lead the Rams in several strong performances at the Texas Relays
DAY 1
- Seniors Emmanuel Waller and Sebastian Evans competed in the 400-meter hurdles Friday night, turning in impressive performances in the University/College section as well as timed final
- Emmanuel Waller competed in the University/College section of the event, running his fastest-ever opener as a Ram in the event. Waller clocked 51.87 to finish third in his heat, which currently ranks first in the Atlantic 10
- Evans turned in a time of 55.75 in the timed final section, his fourth-fastest time in the event
DAY 2
- Vollbrecht recorded a 55.24m mark in the discus throw, grabbing a runner-up finish in the event. The mark breaks his own school record of 54.02m, set in 2021, and currently ranks first in the Atlantic 10 and 17th in the NCAA East region
- Senior Daiqwaun Faircloth ran 14.96 in the 110 hurdles
- Senior JeVon Waller turned in a time of 10.63 in the 100
- Faircloth and JeVon Waller returned to the track for the 4x100 relay, along with juniors Gordon Smith and Jonathan Mitchell. The Rams ran 41.88, good for fourth in their heat
- Mitchell, Emmanuel Waller, Lewis Freeman, and Evans placed seventh in the 4x400, running 3:14.68
UP NEXT
The Rams travel to Tampa, Fla. for the South Florida Invitational. The two-day meet begins Friday, April 8.
