RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Athletics has announced the postponement of the inaugural Ram Fest and the Student-Athlete Donor Dinner.
 
VCU Athletics postponed both events indefinitely out of an abundance of caution due to their direct impact on student-athletes and staff. Communication regarding potential rescheduling of these events, which feature close and personal interactions between fans and student-athletes, will happen at a later date.
 
The rising case numbers and the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant caused the preemptive postponements. VCU Athletics made the decision based solely upon the mitigation of potential risks to student-athletes and staff. 
 
All VCU Athletics contests remain open to the public with the requirement that all spectators wear masks to gain entry. VCU Athletics continues to follow all CDC, Virginia Department of Health and VCU guidelines.
