RICHMOND, Va. – In accordance with new COVID-19 safety mandates released by the Commonwealth of Virginia, VCU Athletics has adjusted some of the previously established 250-person capacity limits at its home events and facilities.
Â
Athletic events being held indoors at the Stuart C. Siegel Center will remain at a 250-person capacity limit. This limit includes both the 2021 Men's and Women's Atlantic 10 Championships that will take place March 3-6 and March 10-14, respectively. The 250-person limit also will remain in place for all VCU Volleyball games scheduled in the Siegel Center.
Â
Events being held outdoors at Sports Backers Stadium and The Diamond will see an increase in the capacity limit, effective immediately.
Â
VCU Men's and Women's Soccer matches at Sports Backers Stadium will increase from a 250-person capacity limit to a 400-person capacity limit.
Â
The capacity limit at the Diamond for VCU Baseball home games will increase from 250 to 350 fans with all seating restricted to the lower level. The upper level of the Diamond will open to fans on March 21 and at that time the capacity limit will be reevaluated.
