HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kelehan scored seven of her goals in the first half as the Patriots stormed to a 15-3 halftime lead.
- George Mason outshot VCU 31-16 overall, including 23-6 in the first half.
- The Patriots owned a 24-8 advantage in draw controls.
- Hyatt scored the game's first goal just 24 seconds into the contest and pushed the Rams to a 2-1 lead with an unassisted tally three minutes later. But George Mason ripped off eight unanswered goals over the next 10 minutes and closed the first half with a 14-1 run.
