HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Rams capitalized on the first chance of the game for either team as McNamara played a ball across the face of the goal where Tossone settled it and placed her shot at the back post for a 1-0 lead.
• In the 11^th minute, William and Mary tied the game at 1-1 as Cammie Llyod finished a shot over her shoulder from close range.
• The Rams retook the lead in the 21^st minute as Mayers intercepted a clearance and found McNamara who beat the keeper in a one-on-one situation.
• VCU went up 3-1 in the 29^th minute as Kaup was able to finish from the top of the circle off a pass from Albright.
• William and Mary scored two goals in the final six minutes of the first half, one on a penalty corner and the other off a rebound, to tie the game 3-3 at halftime.
• VCU came out and scored in the 42^nd minute to go up 4-3 as Kaup was able to collect the ball off the keeper's clearance and score.
