RICHMOND, VA. – After VCU baseball capped its 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship season in the NCAA Tournament, Rams have scattered to summer leagues in the Mid-Atlantic and across the country to continue the VCU baseball action.
Â
Stretching as far east as
Jacob Lee in Brewster, Massachusetts, with the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and as far west as
Cooper Weygandt in Portland, Oregon with the West Coast League (WCL), the Rams are heating up this summer.
Â
After putting together VCU's first back-to-back 17-home run campaigns, Lee has taken his power to the Brewster Whitecaps, pacing the CCBL with four home runs in his eight games. Sitting in the league's top five with a 1.075 OPS, the catcher has compiled 23 total bases and 10 hits, driving in seven runs and scoring eight of his own.
Â
Rising junior
Nick Flores has also compiled 10 hits in his young season with the Bristol Blues of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). He's tallied a pair of multi-hit games, including a 4-4 performance with a double. Reaching base at a .360 clip, Flores has been hit by five pitches and drawn three walks.
Â
Â
Trent Adelman opened his season on a three-game hitting streak with the Holly Springs Salamanders. In a two-hit game, the right fielder loaded the bases on a one-out single in the ninth and advanced the walk-off run into scoring position for the Salamanders.
Â
In shortstop
Alec Warden's most recent outing with the Coastal Plain League's Tri-City Chili Peppers, he belted three hits and drew a walk in his five plate appearances, scoring a pair of runs.
Â
On the bump, Weygandt has made a pair of starts with the Portland Pickles of the WCL. The righty hurler opened his season in a Pickles victory, striking out three over his first 4.0 innings of summer ball. He's fanned four over 8.1 innings of work this summer.Â
With some Rams well into their seasons and others slated to make second-half appearances, this is where you can see VCU baseball action continue this summer:
