WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two Rams were named in the final edition of the 2026 Atlantic 10 weekly awards after VCU baseball's sweep of Davidson to conclude the regular season.

Patrick Steitz earned his second Pitcher of the Week honor of the year and
Alec Warden was tabbed Rookie of the Week.

Steitz earned the win in the series opener, throwing 6.0 innings of one-hit ball in the Rams' first combined shutout of the season, holding opponents to a .056 batting average.
Â
The Peoria, Arizona, native earned his team-leading seventh win of the season in VCU's 30th victory. With his six strikeouts, Steitz surpassed the 70-mark, reaching 74 on the season. His 1.02 WHIP ranks 19
th in the nation and his 2.96 ERA paces the conference.

Warden slashed .700/.692/1.100 in the sweep of Davidson, posting a career weekend at the plate. He started all three games at second base in VCU's 3-0 week leading or tied for the team lead with seven hits, five runs scored and 3 stolen bases on 3 attempts, without striking out once.

The redshirt freshman set a career high with three hits on Thursday and matched it on Saturday, also driving in a career-high-tying three runs in the series finale. On Friday, Warden drove in the winning run, and he scored the go-ahead run on
Teige Lethert's walk-off homer on Saturday.
