MOUSSA NDIAYE GARNERS ALL-REGION HONORS

RICHMOND, VA. – Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year Moussa Ndiaye tacked an All-Southeast Region First Team recognition to his growing list of accolades with the release of United Soccer Coaches' honors on Tuesday.

Ndiaye was one of eleven student athletes and four defenders tabbed to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's All-Southeast Region team, becoming the first Ram to earn first-team honors since midfielder Siad Haji in 2018.

Along with his Defensive Player of the Year award, the Dakar, Senegal, native was also a first-team All-Atlantic 10 and All-Academic selection in 2025.

Starting all but one of VCU's games, Ndiaye compiled 1,432 minutes and five points this season, scoring his pair of goals in the final two games of his collegiate career. He was also the Atlantic 10 player to win Defensive Player of the Week three consecutive times since 2017, doing so in the final three weeks of the regular season.

A captain and fourth-year senior on VCU's 2025 squad, Ndiaye's postseason accolades cap not only his outstanding senior season, but a deeply impactful career as a staple of the Rams' back line. He collected over 5,800 minutes on the pitch and started 66 of his 67 appearances, missing just a pair of games over four years.

In his final season, the center back helped lead the Rams to four clean sheets and a pair of top-25 victories, including a historic win on the road at then-No. 2 Clemson, en route the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

The complete teams can be found on United Soccer Coaches website, here.

With the first-team designation, Ndiaye is eligible for a United Soccer Coaches All-America Team, which will be announced on Friday, December 12, by the organization.
