RICHMOND, Va. - VCU Track & Field announced its schedules for the 2025-26 Indoor and Outdoor seasons on Tuesday.Â
VCU will host two events during the indoor season at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. On Jan. 9, the Rams will host the VCU Rams Indoor Invitational with field events beginning at 10 am, followed by running events at 11 am.Â
The Rams will also host the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 27 & 28. In the 2025 season, the VCU women finished second, and the men finished third in the indoor championships with two individual champions.Â
VCU will begin the indoor season on Dec. 6 as they will travel to Boston for the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. Running events will start at 9:45 am, and field events at 11 am. The meet will also feature an elite window at 3:00 pm that will be streamed live on FloTrack.Â
In addition to the season opener in Boston and two meets in Virginia Beach, VCU will also travel to Virginia Tech and Liberty twice, in addition to one meet each hosted by George Mason and VMI. The NCAA indoor season concludes on March 14th for the NCAA Championships hosted by Arkansas.Â
The Rams will begin their outdoor season on March 20th with a split meet. Some VCU athletes will travel to Orlando, Fla., for the UCF Black & Gold Challenge, while the rest will remain in Richmond for the Fred Hardy Invitational. They will also finish the regular season on April 17th and 18th with a split meet, as some members will travel to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech Invitational, while others will travel to Charlottesville for the Virginia Challenge.
The A-10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held on May 2nd and 3rd in Fairfax, Va. VCU finished 3rd in both men's and women's during the 2025 outdoor championships with five individual championships. The NCAA East Preliminary Round will be held from May 27th to 30th and hosted by Kentucky, while the outdoor championships will be held from June 10th to 13th and hosted by Oregon.Â

The Rams return five athletes - three men and two women - who qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round in 2025. For the men, Philip Daniel, Isaiah-Taji Kargbo-Owens, and Emmanuel Oche return to the black and gold, while Madison Griffin and Blanca Pereira return for the women.Â
Daniel and Kargbo-Owens represented VCU in the triple jump while Oche represented them in the 100m dash. On the women's side, Griffin represented the Rams in the javelin throw and Pereira in the hammer throw.Â
