RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Men's Soccer, the defending Atlantic 10 Regular Season Champions, is set to play a challenging 2024 schedule highlighted by matches against five 2023 NCAA Tournament teams as well as nine home games.

The Rams open the regular season on Aug. 22 at Wake Forest, one of the five 2023 NCAA Tournament participants alongside Marshall, FIU, Dayton and High Point. VCU faces two of those teams in its first four games.

Prior to the opener on Aug. 22, VCU is set to play three exhibitions, at home to VMI (Aug. 10), at Virginia (Aug. 13) and at Elon (Aug. 17).

The Rams open the season at ACC opponent Wake Forest (Aug. 22), the number 10 overall seed in last year's NCAA Tournament. The Rams then host in-state rival ODU (Aug. 26) in its home opener at Sports Backers Stadium.

VCU hosts 2023 Big South Champions High Point (Aug. 31) before a pair of road contests. The Rams first travel to national power Akron (Sept. 6) before playing at Campbell (Sept. 11)

Penn (Sept. 16) travels to Richmond before the Rams open A-10 play at Sports Backers Stadium against Rhode Island (Sept. 20).

VCU travels to 2023 NCAA No. 1 overall seed Marshall (Sept. 25) before facing Dayton (Sept. 28) in a rematch of last year's A-10 Championship match.

The Rams will host American (Oct. 1) in a game at Striker Park in Glen Allen, Va. before returning to Sports Backers to begin a three-game conference swing. The Rams face Fordham (Oct. 5) at home before traveling to Davidson (Oct. 9) and hosting Loyola Chicago (Oct. 12)

VCU then hosts FIU (Oct. 16), the final of last year's NCAA Tournament teams the Rams are set to face. The Panthers earned an at-large bid and reached second round of the tournament.

The Rams close the season out with games at Saint Louis (Oct. 19), at La Salle (Oct. 26) and then at home against George Mason (Nov. 2)

VCU went 7-6-5 overall last season with a 5-1-2 mark in Atlantic 10 play on its way to the A-10 Regular Season Championship.
